  • CHARITY PROGRAM “COMPASSION FOR HIGHLAND COMMUNITIES” HELD IN TRA LINH COMMUNE, DA NANG CITY

In celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnamese Diplomatic Service (28 August 1945 – 28 August 2026) and the 80th Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Force (12 July 1946 – 12 July 2026), on 18 June 2026, the Center for International Cooperation Development and Foreign Affairs Services (CIFA) under the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the External Security Division of the Da Nang City Police, organized a charity program entitled “Compassion for Highland Communities” in Tra Linh Commune, Da Nang City

Mr. Do Trung Kien, Deputy Director of CIFA, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran An, Deputy Head of the External Security Division, present gifts to residents of Tra Linh Commune.

At the program, Mr. Do Trung Kien, Deputy Director of CIFA, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran An, Deputy Head of the External Security Division, together with representatives of the Youth Union, officials and staff members of the two agencies, presented 30 gift packages to disadvantaged households. The assistance included 30 water filtration devices and 30 livelihood support packages consisting of rice, cooking oil, seasonings and other essential necessities, valued at VND 500,000 per package. These contributions aimed to support the locality in improving access to clean water for daily use, work and community activities. In addition, to encourage students to overcome difficulties and strive for academic achievement, the delegation awarded 50 gift packages, including notebooks, pens, confectionery and cash assistance valued at VND 500,000 per package, to 50 disadvantaged students in the commune.

Representatives of the Youth Unions of CIFA and the External Security Division present gifts to students with outstanding academic achievements.

The “Compassion for Highland Communities” charity program reflects a strong sense of social responsibility and solidarity in supporting localities facing socio-economic challenges. At the same time, the activity helped strengthen cooperation between CIFA and the External Security Division of the Da Nang City Police in implementing social welfare initiatives, providing support to disadvantaged residents and students in mountainous, remote and underserved areas.
